The origin of our instruments

We offer you a variety of the highest quality djembe and dundun drums. We cooperate with three African manufacturers. One of them is the Atelier of Bakary Dian Fane in Bamako, Mali. Another is the Atelier of Samba Kamissa Bah in Conakry, Guinea, the source of most of the instruments we currently have in stock and the majority of djembe shells. Finally, the Atelier Wolara of Sorela Brothers and Mamadou Conte is where the assembly and decoration of the drums is handled. We also decorate drums ourselves and provide post-purchase repairs and manteinance for all instruments. Our workshop is located at 1/29 Jana Kazimierza Street (ul. Jana Kazimierza 1/29) in Warsaw.

Top quality manufacture

The sizes, construction standards and manufacture quality of our instruments are highly satisfactory for professional musicians. The standard size of a djembe membrane is between 30 - 35 cm as in about 95% of the currently manufactured djembes.

Dundun drums are built in three sizes: the biggest dunumba, medium sangban and the smallest kenkeni. Dunumba, sangban and kenkeni make up a traditional set of three inseparable voices in Malinke music. These drums can be purchased in a set or separately.

We also offer melodic instruments: balafon and ngoni, and accessories: dundun drum bells, resonators (sese), shakers and others.

Making the purchase

Once you have chosen an item from our offer, we ask you to fill in and submit the online order form. You will then receive a confirmation email from us.

We offer two purchase methods. You can either transfer the given amount to our account in advance, or request that we set up an Allegro auction for you. If you want to buy through Allegro, we need to include the usual auction fee (30 PLN) in the price.

Delivery

You need to add the cost of delivery (50 PLN in case of a djembe drum) to the price of the items you order. We list all the details of the payment in the confirmation email. As soon as the bank or Allegro confirms your payment, we will ship carefully packaged items to the specified address using DHL delivery service.Then you can just enjoy your brand new instrument.

Guarantee

• We have examined all our drums to eliminate any damages or defects.

• We give you a 2 - year guarantee of the wooden drum shell.

• We fix all splits and cracks in a drum shell and we inform about those in the description of the drum.

• We string each instrument and prepare it to be played. The final strength of pulling the cords is left to your decision, but we guarantee that drums prepared by us are tuned and ready to be used properly.

• Mind you! The drum skin is exchangeable and gets worn out. The more it is pulled, the shorter its lifetime gets, not to mention tearing it in the very process of pulling. It is natural and is not related to a material fault, and therefore, skin cracks are not covered by the guarantee of servicing. This information constitutes an integral part of Strefa Rytmu shopping regulations and is by the Guarantee Card delivered to the customer together with the purchase.

• During the preparations of our instruments, we initially string each instrument and examine the state and the quality of the membrane. If the membrane cannot be used, the instrument is withdrawn from sale and we string another skin.

Resignation and return

The owner of the Internet shop strefarytmu.pl, Strefa Rytmu Jakub Pogorzelski, acts according to Polish law regulations related to the Internet shopping. From the point of the customer it means that:

• Customer can resign from a purchased product for whatever reason, until 10 days after the delivery

• The invoice, the Guarantee Card and a customer's' written resignation from the purchase must be returned together with the product.

• The amount of money payed for the purchased product will be tranferred back to the customer, either into their bank account, or by postal order.

• Costs of delivery and return are always covered by a customer.

• Mind you! A return will not be accepted if the product was sold on sale or as a special offer.

• Our shop reserves the right to change the prices of products, introduce and withdraw products on offer, sales and special offers,and also, to change the offer in any other way.

• Strefa Rytmu reserves the right to refuse the order for whatever reason.

• The delivery is insured. At the receive, the customer is obliged to examine the state of the delivery and, in case of obvious faults, such as humidity, etc, please, do not accept the delivery and fill the protocol of return, available at the delivery person. Having signed the receipt, the customer becomes responsible for any transport damages.
